French programs: 3 videos to learn French online

Coucou,

Ca va ?

As you know, I like to learn English the way you LOVE to learn French. Not in old boring books or memorizing lists of vocabulary. Nan nan nan.

You and I learn a language in REAL life.

We listen to people, we watch what our friends watch on TV and online and we use this when we speak.

That’s where you say : « Ok Géraldine. But I have no native speaker to practice with.
What can I watch online anytime anywhere to improve my French? »

Excellent question. This is what we’ll see in today’s episode of Comme une Française TV: 3 French short programs to watch online

Click to watch « How to improve your French with 3 online programs »:

Specific French phrases and culture: Dans la bouche
Familiar and Rude French: Golden Moustache
French on the go: Palmashow

Et toi ?
Your French will improve ONLY if you take action on what you learn on Comme une Française TV.

  • Great tips, thanks! Also in OZ and unable to access ‘dans la bouche…’ But found one ep via google, ‘après la cuite’ funny stuff :-). Now to check out l’effet papillon. Mille remerciements Geraldine!

  • Dear Geraldine – If only I had received your ‘swear words’ BEFORE I mispronounced canard. The poor French lady looked terribly upset until she realised I was trying to say that it looked like a duck. Love your posts. Thanks so much. Dianne

  • Hello! dans la bouche sadly also not available in South Africa…so, watched “golden moustache” instead and was reminded of the phrase “une cruelle deception” – a great disappointment, which led to the verb decevoir and all of its irregularities! A great verb to practice on. Thanks Geraldine for the continued support and interest. Colette

  • Thanks Geraldine and Heather! It’s only the Dans la Bouche program that won’t play for me too, the one I tried first. I found some other really good short videos on the Canal+ site though, L’Effet Papillon. Excellent for practising numbers in high speed French.

Also learnt the verb s’enchevetrer (circumflex on second e) = to be tangled up. It took me ages to work out that one!

Thanks again Geraldine for your great suggestions.

    • Hi Peta,
It’s great you mention “L’effet Papillon” because it’s my favourite “serious” program on French TV.
I never miss one. And when I’m away (often), I watch the replay.

  • Hi – I’m in Melbourne and can access golden moustache and the palmas how sites – I’m still working out the dans la Bouche thing.

    • Hi Peta,
      ARGH.
I have to admit I have no idea how to say “Geoblocking” in French!
The content on YouTube should be ok to watch from everywhere.
Sorry for you guys, it drives me crazy too.
