This subject comes back a lot. You can’t see the person you are talking to, French speak too fast, you understand nothing…
Well. Part true. But instead of freaking out and sticking to emails, prepare and practice what you can. Which is: the beginning of the call. The “bonjour, blablabla.”

Note: We don’t use the “Géraldine Lepère speaking” when we pick up the phone. Just say “Allo” ou “Oui” ou “Bonjour”. If you are a professional, it is slightly different.
Tip: PRACTICE! You will loose all your self confidence if you mumble your first 2 phrases!
